Have you ever tried crab fishing?

My friends just got back from their vacation in Alaska. They are very much outdoorsy type people. They told us about their Dungeness crabbing in Alaska, how it was one of the best side trips they’ve ever done, and how great the crab tasted. I’ve never been crabbing but it does sound fun if you’re adventurous.

Even the pros will tell you… the bait, lures, and line that you choose can make a world of difference in your performance and results. You cannot use the same accessories for all types of fish and conditions. Fish respond differently to a variety of bait and lures. You may have to use live bait if you want to catch a specific type of fish. Larger fish, your particular style, rough water, and areas that have a lot of trees or rocks will require the use of a stronger line. With the variety of products that are available, you have a lot to choose from. But choose wisely. Otherwise, you could be on the water all day and go home empty handed, with nothing to show for it.
